Carissa Harvey, PsyD

Dr. Harvey is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist with over a decade of experience providing integrative therapy and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations. Her exceptional ability to understand and identify complex psychological and neuropsychological issues has made her a trusted and respected figure in the field.

The reason Dr. Harvey started Neuro Nexus stems from her profound commitment to providing personalized and compassionate care. She recognized the need for a practice that not only addresses psychological and neuropsychological issues but also fosters a supportive and empowering environment for people.

Dr. Harvey is insightful, compassionate, and approachable, making people feel comfortable and understood. She consistently demonstrates unwavering dedication to her patients by understanding their unique needs and empowering them to reach their full potential through tailored interventions.

Andy Mided, LPC

Andy Mided is a licensed professional counselor with extensive experience in mental health therapy, neurotrauma and geriatric case management, and crisis intervention across inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings. Within the Neuro Nexus model of whole-person, evidence-informed care, Andy works with children, teens, adults, and older adults, and has particular skill in supporting people and families navigating brain injury, cognitive changes, complex medical conditions, and significant life or health transitions.

Andy is dedicated to thoroughly assessing each client’s needs and creating an authentic, professional therapeutic experience. He brings a steady, organized approach to complex situations, collaborating closely with clients, families, and medical teams to provide clear information, thoughtful guidance, and practical support. His background in neurorehabilitation, geriatric psychiatry, crisis services, and child and adolescent behavioral health allows him to remain calm and focused while helping people feel more informed and supported in their care.

Proficient in Spanish, Andy welcomes bilingual clients and families and is committed to culturally responsive care. Outside of work, he is an avid Chicago sports enthusiast and lifelong soccer fan, bringing a sense of teamwork, resilience, and dedication to his clinical work.
